Intro

What’s up everybody? Fred Lam here and welcome to our daily huddle episode 11. Before we begin let me tell you; this is called dedication. I actually just got off the plane and got a taxi and came right back to the office to actually host this daily huddle with you guys. So again welcome to our daily huddle and today is our 11th episode of our daily huddle so we’re officially going into the third week of our daily huddle.

Again, here’s the thing and here’s the deal, I know it is and I apologize for being late coming on to our live session for our daily huddle is really because I was stuck at the airport. I didn’t know that I was actually flying in that late so again I apologize for being here a little bit late. I’m already slurring; I’m really tired from all the travelling. I’m already late for our daily huddle but like I promised you guys regardless of where I am, what I’m doing I will make sure that I’m going to be here live every day Monday to Friday to actually answer five questions that will help you guys get unstuck or give you the knowledge that you need for your business. And again, dedication is important. Seriously, I had the thought of you know what I’m just going to skip today and I will actually return back tomorrow and continue our daily huddle but here’s the deal that means that I did not have the level of dedication to be either your mentor or be your hero or basically be someone that you look up to because I simply just said I’m going to come on Monday to Friday and I don’t show up. That’s the last thing that I want and at the end of the day I want you guys to be as dedicated as possible for your business for whatever you want to learn; maybe you want to increase more traffic, maybe you want to build a business. You need to be dedicated in order for you to be successful either online, offline or whatever, however, you define success. One of the most important things is really be dedicated; you need to show dedication and just like me right now I’m showing my dedication to you on being here live even though I just got off the plane and I just went right back to my office to be here with you all top actually host our daily huddle. So if you basically say, “You know what Fred, you’re absolutely right, I’m going to actually show dedication starting today. I am going to basically show Fred Lam, my family, my friends that I am going to be dedicated to build, grow or scale my business.” If that is you put in an ME right into the comment box in Facebook and put in ME in the live chat at the same time if you are on YouTube.

And again, listen to dedication is one thing; the other thing is actually being patient. It’s very important that you need to be patient. Here’s the deal and I hate to bring this truth to you; when you’re really dedicated to building your business you also need to be patient because there is nothing called overnight success. If people are basically telling you “You know what you’re going to basically become a millionaire overnight.” To be honest with you that is BS. I’m not going to swear online; I’m basically saying it is absolutely BS because the reality is after 13 years of really running all my businesses, there is no such thing as overnight success. You will still need a couple of days or time or weeks in order for you to actually get your first sale online and obviously, e-commerce is the easiest thing for you to get started that you can actually see the first dollar amount coming into your bank account but like I said, you need to be patient. If you already have a system, you already have a blueprint and you have my 10-part video training series. Here’s the thing, I don’t want you to be in the mindset of “You know what going through Fred’s 10-part video training series’ I’m going to be super successful overnight.” That’s not the deal. You need to be patient because you need to absorb, learn and experience the process of becoming an online entrepreneur. And once you actually have that click, that’s where the magic coming into play.  I actually have a student of mine who just to me and he now generated over a quarter million dollars in sales through our program. Originally, when he first started he was struggling but at the end of the day he went through a progress, he experienced it, he had patience and now he is actually generating a quarter million dollars in sales this year and had a 30% net profit margin. 3% net on a quarter million that is a lot of money, right? Put in a ME in the question box if you love that. That is a lot of money and at the end of the day, you need to understand that. And again, in order for you to be successful, you have to, number one be dedicated; number two be patient to actually reap the results and harvest the results.

Anyway, without further ado, I’m going to dive right in. Today, here’s what’s going to happen, I’m going to answer five questions. I’m going to choose to actually answer it as precise as possible and in-depth as possible depending on my energy level. Let’s face it, I’m actually pretty tired right now and I just got off the plane, went to the custom, came right back to the office. I am pretty dead tired. I haven’t gone back home yet and I want to go home just to have a quick rest but at the end of the day again I’m here to answer your questions. Before I go into questions, the second thing is I have an upcoming workshop which I call it The Lazy Man Method is actually one of the fastest and the easiest ways to actually generate your first sale online. If you are interested in coming to our workshop which is happening tomorrow just click on the link; if you’re on Facebook there’s a link above this video, if you are on YouTube right in the description there’s a link, click on it, sign up, save your seat. Here’s the deal, we have a lot of people who registered and I go to webinar we can only hold a thousand attendees maximum at the same time and at the rate that we’re going there’s a high chance that it will hit max capacity and if you don’t show up 15 minutes before or actual live session you may not have your spot and we are not sure if we’re having a replay or not. It is 50- 50 right now, depending on how things go we may or may not have a replay. I’m just being very, very upfront and honest with you.

And at the same time today is Monday, so what does it mean? Today is going to be an announcement of our next winner for our kickstart 500 grand. If you guys are excited put in the word EXCITED right in the comment box on Facebook and put in EXCITED right on the live chat right on YouTube right now if you guys are excited about all this. So while I’m waiting for all the excitement to come in I have to pull up the questions that have been sent to me for today, so hold on one sec, let me see where they are. Okay, here they are.

[0:07:53] Question 1: 1. You suggest that we should select a niche that interests. I am very interested in chess but there does not seem to be a wide variety of products to sell in this niche. What are your minimum requirements for a niche to be suitable for drop shipping? What would you do to run a successful drop shipping businesses focused on the niche market of chess?

So let’s dive right in into the five questions today. The first question is by Greg Rogers. Greg Rogers asked,

You suggest that we should select a niche that interests. I am very interested in chess but there does not seem to be a wide variety of products to sell in this niche. What are your minimum requirements for a niche to be suitable for drop shipping? What would you do to run a successful drop shipping businesses focused on the niche market of chess?

That’s a really awesome question that you brought out. When it comes to chess I don’t know if there is any appetite in the market for drop shipping chess. I’m being blunt and upfront and truthful with you. However, why don’t you look into creating your own digital course on teaching people how to play chess. I know a lot of people that actually pay a lot of money to get into tournaments or to learn how to play chess. Because if you are playing chess on a super high level, if you love chess you know that at the end of the day people just want to know what are the secrets, what are the tactics, what are the things that they can actually do. At the end of the day, the max that I can see when it comes to drop shipping around the chess area is more of potentially selling board games or selling stress reliever games or toys that basically help people with their minds to actually strengthen their memory in everything or have strategy in place. So you guys should look into that, a board game maybe a great store to have. I remember my brother; he spent a lot of money back then when he was actually trying to master the game GO. I still to this date don’t even know how to play GO, I don’t even know the rules but he was spending a lot of money in GO. He was like signing up for online courses. He was actually going to meet ups and all those other stuff. So something that you can think of; take a step back and see why do you play chess. Well you play chess not just because of the fun of it. The people love the competition side of things and if you can actually find other board games that you can actually drop ship or actually speak to the minds of these chess players who love to play with strategy toys or magic toys or whatever that maybe something that you can think of. Now, again I’m not in a market, I’m just basically giving you my feedback on what I would do if I were in your position. So, look at that part, board game in general or stress reliever games or mindset games that are physical and also at the same time potentially come up with a course that basically teach people how to play chess, create a community around it and basically go from there. Again, just my thoughts and feedback since the question has been brought up.

Now to answer your question what are your minimum requirements for niche to be suitable for drop shipping? So, what I really want to make sure is that there is a market appetite. If I actually go to Facebook and use the audience insight, I can potentially reach to like over a million to 2 million people or even bigger. So again, I do a lot of different things; number one I look at alexa.com, I look at similarweb.com, I look at Amazon, I look at eBay. I kind of look at the categories and see what is there available like what are people actually buying online and determine from there if that is going to be a niche that has enough of an audience and enough demand for products within that niche. So again, it’s really broad level stuff only because I can’t really show you on the screen, if I were to show you on the screen it will be a lot easier and you’ll identify a lot more but that’s what I would do; I will look for things that actually have a market appetite as big enough for being actually scale up the business and into like millions and millions of people but obviously you don’t want to start the millions right away; you want to actually slowly move up from there.

[0:11:45] Question 2: Will the RTX platform work for a Shopify ecommerce store? If yes, which type of creative would you recommend for each of the In Text and Pops platforms?

Moving on to the next question byMel Akers. Mel Akers asked,

Will the RTX platform work for a Shopify e-commerce store? If yes, which type of creative would you recommend for each of the In Text and Pops platforms?

Here’s the deal, Mel. They are not really called RTX platform. RTX platform is usually like real-time bidding exchange that’s what it is called in terms of that platform. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it’s fine. This is something that really works for like CPA network or people that does a lot of content marketing that they want to re-target; it is a completely different world just to let you know.

Now to answer your question about does it work for Shopify e-commerce store? The answer is I never test it. I don’t know but based on my knowledge about in text and pos when it comes to an e-commerce store and basically buying behaviour of all these, chances are it’s a NO if you’re directly selling a product. However, what I’ve seen is that for in text and pops platform they actually work for physical products is simply having a lead generation page in place an opt-in page or like a really long content page where you can read through it at the end and actual pictures of products or basically someone I should give their email address and you attract them for this information and then you sell them through emails. So these are the ones that I’ve seen very, very successful on doing. Another thing that works well for this kind of network is no real physical products or digital products; it’s actually CPA networks. You get paid when someone downloaded the game, you get paid when someone downloads a toolbar, and you get paid when someone put their email address in to initiate what we call “co wreck intensifies payouts”. Basically, it’s a completely different animal I never talk about it in public not a lot of people know about this but I know that there are people who are making a lot of money out of this but it usually works better when it comes to this kind of platform is really CPA network, not even like Clickbank I’m talking about direct CPA network like maybe click move places like max bounty etc. etc. Again, that’s a little bit of a high level, I know that really went overhead but that’s one of the questions that Mel actually asked so I’m just basically addressing right away.

[0:14:19] Question 3: 2. You say to start your FB Ad campaign optimizing for conversions, purchases right away. Is this also true with a brand new store and fresh Pixel? For example my purchase conversion option has a Red dot indicator while my view website content has a green dot. Should I still be choosing "purchases"?

So now to the third question by Wayne T. Wayne asked,

You say to start your FB Ad campaign optimizing for conversions, purchases right away. Is this also true for a brand new store and fresh Pixel? For example, my purchase conversion option has a Red dot indicator while my view website content has a green dot. Should I still be choosing “purchases”?

The answer is YES. I’ve mentioned this in our daily huddle I believe correct me if I’m wrong I totally forgot maybe I think it was in 3rd or 4th episode I talked about this. Because what you are essentially doing is that when you’re going into the market—now go back and watch my video on YouTube I think it’s either 3rd or 4th episode but at the end of the day what it really does is that when you’re going to market, let’s say that you have an audience as of 200,000 now other than 200,000 you actually don’t advertise that 200,000 right away. Facebook takes a small segment of that 200,000 that will most likely respond to your ad and actually take action based on the marketing objective that you have chosen. So what would Facebook do is taking that let’s say 200,000 audience; Facebook will actually find out from that 200,000 audiences that you’re trying to target who are the people who are more likely to buy of a third party website and they will try to [inaudible 15:33-34] first because you’re essentially telling Facebook that “Hey, I want to purchase. That’s what I want to do.” Again, it’s fine to be in red because at the end of the day you’re not getting any purchase yet but when you start getting purchase that red will actually turn into green right away. So, ultimately at the end of the day like I said earlier you’re basically telling Facebook right out the gate what you want and what the objective is on advertising in there especially when you’re going after these are called direct response and you’re selling a product online right away that’s still called direct response. You definitely want to go after purchase right out of the back. That’s what you want to do.

[0:16:36] Question 4: Hi Fred, first of all, just wanted to let you know that you've been keeping me motivated, on days that I want to give up because I don't see any result. So thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and wisdom every single day. I always look forward to the daily huddle, and would watch it several times to understand the concept. My question is, I just created my first FB ad, and I noticed that it's not showing in my FB page. If I want the ad to show in my page, is it ok to post and boost it instead of creating the conversion ads? I want it to be part of the content of my page. Or is it a different technique that I'm not really familiar about?

Moving on to the 4th question by Louie Perez. Louie Perez said,

Hi Fred, first of all, just wanted to let you know that you’ve been keeping me motivated, on days that I want to give up because I don’t see any result. So thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and wisdom every single day. I always look forward to the daily huddle, and would watch it several times to understand the concept. My question is, I just created my first FB ad, and I noticed that it’s not showing in my FB page. If I want the ad to show in my page, is it ok to post and boost it instead of creating the conversion ads? I want it to be part of the content of my page. Or is it a different technique that I’m not really familiar about?

Many Thanks in advance, and may you be more blessed to be a blessing to others.

Thank you, Louie. Here’s the deal, when you actually create your ad through Facebook, going through the ads manager, creating your post, creating your ads, setting it up etc. etc. You’re something called a dark post or a unpublished post. That post is actually not showing on your timeline. It’s not showing on your page that is correct. Now what you can do is very simple; if you have which I always tell you guys to use a business manager account on Facebook what you can actually do is at the top left of the menu click on it and you will see something called the page post. When you click on a page post on the left-hand menu of the screen there are basically three things; one is scheduled to post, publish post and ad post. When you actually go to the ad post, you can find the exact ad that you have created through the ad manager because every single ad that you created is actually ad post. In there, inside the ad post area you actually find your ad and when you click on it you can publish that right to your page. As a matter of fact I even share this to my members what I usually do is I go through the ads manager and create the ad first because I want to make sure that I’m going after conversions and I have something in place where others don’t; for example, if you just put a link right now on your Facebook post sometimes you can’t change the image of what it is, so you want to go through the ad manager to create your post, once you have done so then I usually either take the ID because every single post has an ID and whenever I create a new ad set using the exact same ad to carry on the social likes, engagement, share and comment and everything.

Now when I’m creating a new ad set, I don’t create another ad. I simply say use existing ad post and copy that ID in there so that I’m actually gathering all my likes, all my social media, engagement, right into that one post so when people see it they go like wow there are a lot of engagements on this post they’re maybe doing something right and at the end of the day again social proves itself so that’s what you want to do especially that if you are looking for ways to actually publish your ad into your timeline inside you Facebook page that’s what you want to do. So again I repeat it’s actually inside your business manager, go to page post, click on ad post, click on that post and publish it right on your page. That’s what you do, the simple five steps.

[0:21:35] Question 5: I am thinking about introducing digital products through my email sequence, and have a question. When we create a new page, should it be visible on the store or only accessible when customer clicks on the link in my email? Also, on this page should link go the clickbank product directly, or need to create opt-in page first? What would be your suggestions? Thank you!

Anyway, going on to the last question of the day, it’s by [side talk 21:14-27] Nadia Saltikova. Your question is:

Hi Fred, Thank you for live session on Saturday!
Your Daily Huddles are very powerful and helps me keep going every day. I am thinking about introducing digital products through my email sequence, and have a question. When we create a new page, should it be visible on the store or only accessible when customer clicks on the link in my email? Also, on this page should link go the clickbank product directly, or need to create opt-in page first? What would be your suggestions? Thank you!

Again, I would actually hide it and only use that link for emails. At the end of the day, if you are actually emailing your customers there’s no point of creating another opt-in page because you already collected the customer’s information or else how are you going to email them? So I would actually send directly to a Clickbank page. However at the same time if you have some kind of influence to your list kind of like me right now I think I have a pretty big influence on you guys, I hope then that means that I may create update or what we call segue page where I kind of introduce you the digital product and tell you to click on it to go directly to the Clickbank offer. So those are different ways and strategies that you can do. Here’s the thing, as long as you’re not advertising the Clickbank affiliate link you’re going to be fine. So again, for me what I would do is I will actually only have that link inside that email and start introducing it within and again if you’re camera shy or if you don’t like to be on camera or you don’t like to use your name or use your face you can simply just send them directly to the clickbank page but I highly, highly encourage you to get on a camera, use an iPhone just record a video real quick and say, “Hey, I’m Fred Lam and I’m from store XYZ I’m so excited that you actually click on the link. If you want to learn exactly how are you going to do XYZ I have a friend from XYZ website who will show you all this information, click the link below and you’ll be directed and actually learn exactly how you could do XYZ.” So that’s what you want to do because the more connection that you can make of your email list, the stronger the relationship is and the more influence you have, the more sales you are going to make. And that’s why I keep telling people that when you’re running an e-commerce store try to go after a niche that you are passionate about so that you can create a report, an engagement and relationship with your buyers, with your customers and simply go from there. Again, the power of influencer is massive, massive, massive. If you have influence over your following it would carry a massive weight for you down the road, they actually generate you more sales.

Outro.

For those of you who are just joining us right now, listen I have an upcoming workshop make sure that you click on it, register your seats, save your seat and make sure you are there live. I cannot guarantee a reply but I would guarantee you this, you’re going to be blown away by what you are going to learn.

Now, let’s move on to our most exciting part on Mondays which is our announcement of the winner of our kickstart 500. Put it 500 right into the comment box or right into the live chat if you guys are excited about our Monday announcement of our kickstart 500 grand right now. Again, I’m doing this because I want to inspire, I want to help you guys, to help you succeed and for those people who got my $500 and if you guys actually have taken action and do whatever I have been telling you guys; I gave you the checklist. Guess what, you’re going to get on a one on one consultation call with me, I will tell you exactly what you need to do to help you build, grow and scale your business. That is for free to basically reward those who are taking action. That’s what I care about is you guys, taking action.

I have to search up the winner for our kickstart 500. I want some drum roll. So, this week’s winner of our kickstart 500 grand is John A. Williams. Congratulations, John A. Williams! Here’s what his story is…The type of business that John is going into as a coaching/consulting services. His story pretty much inspired me. It’s pretty long and I can actually see where he’s going at. His story is like, Hello Fred! I’ve been training on and off for almost 20 years in different areas ranging from weight loss, to muscle building to basketball performance. Within the past few years, I began taking steps to build a speed and sports performance business and program about the foundation of speed and agility training for our youth. When I’m asked when I started my business I find myself contemplating, do I say it started a little over a year ago when I resigned as a PE assistant from the school district I was at for five years? Do I go further back and say it started when I started my speak camps part-time about four years ago or do I go back further and say every time when I was offering individual training to others who would take place off and on?  I could go even further but the point is I think that we come at least I have to a point in my life in which I realize who I am, what my purpose is, and the type of impact I should or want to be making. (That’s great, that’s great. That’s another reason why I chose you.) Over the years I often hear comments about how people wish I was coaching at the high school or you’re so good with kids. Every time I hear these complements it’s like a dagger in my heart because it reminds that I’m not matching my financial potential with my ability. It has been a long road so far and things seemed to be going in more consistently positive direction business-wise at least. With the past two months have been the most preferable thus far but I have a lot more growing to do. As I previously mentioned, the main thing for me is to fulfil my purpose, reach my potential and make an impact. After coming across you webinar and e-commerce in Shopify I have to stay connected and in the loop with your material. I believe the training you are offering is high value and something I see myself being able to use to accelerate my cash and impact the world regardless of whether I receive the kickstart $500 I look forward to hopefully building a relationship. Thank you for doing this and I Look forward doing the checklist.

At the end of the day, like I love people that can make a difference like this is what I want. I want to basically make a difference in people’s lives that they then pay it forward and I can see that in you John so that’s why I chose you. At the end of the day, you are going to actually get an email from us and I will give you your checklist and write you a $500 right away, right to you—but here’s one thing that I do have to say, do not go after e-commerce especially on what your knowledge is and what you know. I will suggest you to create either a course or basically bring value all about your speed development digital product. Again, that’s what I highly suggest your focus is going to be and I will give you your checklist and if you finish your checklist we can have one hour consultation call and I’ll just tell you exactly what you need to do and I hope I help you succeed at the same time.

Other than that, that’s really it for today’s episode. Again, I don’t know why my episode 10th is gone on Facebook but if you want to actually all my previous episodes make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel. And if you’re on YouTube make sure you put thumbs up and also click sound notification little icon so that each time I actually come on live you guys get notification right away so you guys can actually be on here right away and if you are on Facebook make sure you go to YouTube subscribe and if you’re on YouTube make sure you go to my Facebook page and also follow me on Facebook. Other than that, listen like I said earlier you have to show dedication to what you want to accomplish and you have to be patient to actually reap in the results and the sales and profit that you always want to get. I look forward on seeing you guys tomorrow in our daily huddle and also tomorrow for our workshop on The Lazy Man Method on how you can actually start generating sales at a super rapid pace. Other than that I look forward on seeing you guys tomorrow. I’m going to get back home, go take a shower, get a rest and come back here again and keep working. I look forward on seeing you guys then and tomorrow is going to be an important day. See you!
